A circular ride to Abberton Reservoir on a quiet B road tour of central Essex.
Mainly on quiet Essex B roads and some single track lanes with a visit to Abberton Reservoir. Simple food & drink at the start and finish included in the entry fee.
A bit of Essex R&R starts from the Labour Hall with plenty of free car parking and is very close to Witham Railway Station which has frequent services to/from London and Ipswich/Norwich. A light breakfast bar & drinks will be ready to welcome you at the start and also some refreshments at the end. A visit to the River Blackwater at Heybridge then off to Abberton Reservoir Visitor Centre and a laney return to Witham but can you squeeze in another cream tea opportunity at the Tiptree Wilkins Jam Factory cafe?
